“Whilst many artists create based upon a specific idea or vision, mapping out the piece in great detail in their mind and then putting this into a physical form, photography tends to be more spontaneous and voyeuristic, attempting to capture perfect, beautiful and unique images or moments in time. It’s often about what you see not what you imagine. As an artist, not by choice, I fall somewhere in the middle, creating circumstances in which I try to find that magical moment and the perfect image. Liquid Dreams was a series I worked on focusing on themes of chance, existentialism and imagination. This shot captures the essence of the project, stumbling into the surreal in the most real of places - my kitchen.” -Jack Hardwicke. Learn more about the artist here.
